BALI NUSA DUA FESTIVAL

Nusa Dua – Bali AT The Nusa Dua Festival you can experience a wide range of special events, including colourful art and craft exhibitions, lively performances of traditional dance and music, and a cornucopia of delicious foods. There are exciting boat races too.

BOROBUDUR FESTIVAL

Borobudur – Central Java You can take apart in ten-day festival featuring dazzling art and craft displays, performances of traditional dance, drama and music, all night leather puppet shows, and the Borobudur Fun Run.
There will be photographic and will flower exhibitions, and many other thrilling and exotic events








ISTIQLAL FESTIVAL

Istiqlal Mosque – Jakarta, Java At this festival ,in largest Mosque in south East Asia , you’ll hear readings from the koran, see concerts and dance performances and you can also attend a symposium on women in Islamic culture,

The marshes and open grasslands along the coast make it the best place on the island tosee tigers, elephants and masses og wild birds.






REGION3, LAMPUNG, JAKARTA, WEST AND CENTRAL JAVA, YOGYAKARTA.

The island of Java is the one that most people visit because there is just so much to see and do.
Major citiws such as Jakarta, Bandung and Yogyakarta have regular showings of all the traditional art forms of interest to visitors including wayang kulit leather puppets, the Ramayana ballet and gamelan music performances.
This is also the region for a glimpse of rare wildlife, temples, palaces and breathtaking matural beauty. Hesare you can view Krakatau, the infamois volcano that eruprted in1803.
And near Yogyakarta is the greatest of all Indonesianmonuments, the truly awesome Borobudur Temple.

REGION5. EAST, SOUTJ, CENTRAL, AND

WEST KALIMANTAN

For something adventurous try Kalimantan, the Indonesia part of Borneo.
Most visitors come here all year round with one thing on their itinerary, a boat trip through the jungle to visit the Dayak people.
It’s an adventurous way to leave the 20th Century behind for a while.
As we;; as meeting the Dayak people, visitors are often in for another special event; a canoe trip across Lake Jempang escorted by the unique freshwater dolphins of the area!
South Kalimantan is popular because it’s the centre of Indonesia’s gemstone trade – diamonds, amethysts,

REGION6. SOUTH, SOUTH-EAST,
CENTAL AND NORTH SULAWESI.

For those in search of something different, Sulawesi is the place. Most interesting to visit are the north and south of the island,
The central region is a little-known area and rarely visited. Of course, for some travellers, this is the very attraction.
One special event that does draw visitors to this isolated region is that of the world’s rare Moleo birds saying eggs the which takes place between January and July each year.
First-time visitors hould make sure to take a trip to the Torajan communities in South Sulawesi.
Here are the famous Toraja tombs; man-made caves cut into sheer clif faces, balconies staring across the jungle.Relaxation on your mind? Head for North Sulawesi– beautiful coral reefs, with sandy beaches and clear water.
In the highlands, there are lakes and invigorating hot springs.








REGION7. MALUKU AND IRIAN JAYA

Maluku also has all the ingredients for a tropical island paradise –The climate, sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters and hospitable people.

The performance is held at the Auditorium of RRI Nusantara

15, 16, 17 CULTURAL PERFORMANCE
Slemen, Yogyakarta, Java Catch this monthly peraformance of rtraditional dance and music at the Serbaguna Building, Sleman, from 8pm to 11pm.

Sidoarjo east Java The anniversary of the tow tht is known for its batik, shrimp and “Bandeng’” a type of sea fish.




31 CLOSING THE NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS
Hila Village, Ambon , Maluku Help us celebrate the New Year, feasting on sago, sweet potatoes and wild game, The “Bandendang” or singing event, lasting all night, marks the end of New Year celebrations.

Sumba Island, East Nusa Tenggata During the “Pasika” you’ll see score of colorrfull barevack horsemen battle with lances and spears. The event takes place in Lamboya Kodi and coincides with the arrival of the seaworms on Sumba.


SAPP – SAPP AND TARIK TMBANG PERAHU
Pasir putih beach, Situbondo, East Java
Sapp - Sapp is atraditional chicken race it’s fun to watch the chickens gbeing released from the sea and flying towards the shore. The winner is the one which flies furthest. Tarik Tambang is a tug of war between two boats on the sea.

2nd week RONDANG BINTANG
Harngggaol, North Sumatra This festival is very exciting, “Rondang Bintang”
Means ‘full moon” and the event is highlighted by a bariety od performances buy the Simalungun people and a host of sporting events. The festival is held in Siantar, 140 km from Medan, a hestorical cityu of the Purba kingdom where the traditional Simalungun houses still stand.
